Trying to carry on where the E-Type left off meant the XJS was never going to be accepted by a massive sector of the Jaguar fraternity. After those gorgeous curves and the Impossibly long bonnet of the E-Type, the XJS’s design was distinctly underwhelming, and at first it was one of the ultimate expressions of naffness on wheels. But as the design mellowed the XJS started to become cool; now it’s a bona tide classic that’s seriously desirable in Its own nght – whether it’s in corwertbe or соuрe form.
